Comments from Coach Lamar Harris:
"We just didn't play really well in the first half of this game, I'm not sure why or what the cause could have been, however we did manage to improve some in the second half and hold on for the win. We had a big turn-over deep in their territory right toward the end of the first quarter which could have easily become a game changer early-on in any game. I was proud of the guys for managing to stick together and over come that mistake and for their efforts in burrowing down to hold our own defensively following that turn-over. The sack on their quarterback ended their quest for the score on that turn-over and we marched the ball back down the field with our own scoring drive just as the first half was coming to a close. Following the half-time break we managed to become more intensively focused on defensive, but we did allow their quarterback to scramble on us several times keeping their offensive drives alive, however we did stand our ground and force the ball over on downs as well. I'm proud of the shut-out. In the end our defense stood their ground in the game tonight and we kept them out of the end zone which allowed us to come off the field with a homecoming victory for our Seniors to reflect back on and cherish."
