Comments from Head Coach Lamar Harris:
"Our guys came out of the locker room tonight and played really well early on in the game from the start on the opening kick-off. Both our offense and defense were well focused and remained ready for the big plays that we were anticipating throughout the night.  Although we did have a busted coverage in our secondary on the first possession following the half-time break which allowed for a quick score, but we fought right back and answered that score with a quick score of our own. That takes a determined fight from within and sometimes you find yourself in a position where you have to do just that.... find the determination and answer back with a big play of your own and that is what our guys did.  I was really pleased to see the determination of the team as they remained focused.  South Lamar has a very good team fielded with a lot of guys who really get after the ball. Their team and their players are much better than their record indicates.  They've had a very trying season and have had some close games.  I'm extremely proud of this group of guys for accomplishing their goal of winning the Region out-right, and I'm glad to depart here with the win.  I have only praise for the conduct exhibited by players on both teams.  I know our guys are excited about the Homecoming game next week, but we have to remain focused and continue our fight to achieve our goals."
