Comments from Head Coach Lamar Harris:
"Our guys played hard tonight - extremely hard and that was probably our best trait as we battled to gut out this win. The guys just never backed down with their determination and they fought hard. I am overwhelmed by the overall effort and the determination of our guys on both sides of the ball to stand up and fight it out which allowed us to come off the field with the win. We knew the game was going to be a tough physical battle as we prepared throughout the week. We knew we had to depend on some of our younger guys to step up if we were going to be successful in our overall game plan. In the end that is what secured tonight's win. The strong will of this group of guys to stand in there and their deep desire to gut it out and fight until the very final seconds ticked away on the game clock speaks volumes. In the end, every single possession on both sides of the ball, defense and offense were instrumental in securing this win for us. I'm proud of the play from the guys who found themselves lining up in different positions for this game and we know as a team that we have continued work to do if we want to accomplish our overall goals."
